1099 tracking
Who should send you a form, on a cash basis.
Any payer who has paid you $600 or more in the calendar year should send you a 1099-NEC. You do not file it — they do. This report tracks which forms you should expect.
Totals are cash basis and computed live from payments actually received, never from amounts invoiced.
PER FIRM, NOT PER ATTORNEY
A 1099 is issued by the firm, so four attorneys at one firm roll into a single total. That is why attorney records carry a firm name.
Payments that cannot be attributed to a firm — no linked invoice, payer or client — appear under Needs review rather than being assigned to a guess. Link the case to a client and they attribute automatically.
