Every case in one record
Retaining and opposing counsel, court and case number, engagement type, and a rate structure that belongs to this matter alone.
Track every hour at the right rate, invoice to the penny with a defensible audit trail, and keep your testimony disclosure and admissibility record current — without adapting software written for law firms.

What you get
From the retainer conversation to the 1099 — without a spreadsheet in the middle of it.
Retaining and opposing counsel, court and case number, engagement type, and a rate structure that belongs to this matter alone.
Twelve activity types out of the box, each with its own rate per case. An entry stores the rate it was logged at, so raising your fee is never retroactive.
Elapsed time is computed on the server, so a dropped connection or a closed laptop does not lose the afternoon.
Timestamped entries, activity descriptions and rate breakdowns. Split between payers, draw down a retainer, void without erasing the paper trail.
Send an itemised checklist to an attorney or custodian. They upload without an account; nothing joins the case file until you accept it.
Full export whenever you want it, and a tax-year summary with a redacted variant that omits attorney names.
Time log
+ Log timeEach entry stores the rate it was logged at, so changing a rate is never retroactive.
How it works
New case
Create caseName it and you are done — everything else is optional. Attorneys auto-fill from your contact book.
Time log
Rate for this case
$450.00 / hr
Start the timer or enter hours directly. The rate comes from the case, not from memory.
Generate invoice
Pick what to bill, confirm the total, and the PDF is archived exactly as the client received it.
Rule 26 disclosure
Trailing 4 yearsTestimony entries build themselves from your time logs. The Rule 26 list is always current.
Why this and not time-and-billing
Generic billing software cannot produce either of these, and assembling them by hand the week before a deadline is where mistakes happen.
Testimony disclosure
Export PDFBuilt from logged testimony activities. Older entries age out automatically.
Admissibility record
91.7%
Favourable rate
Withdrawn and pending challenges are excluded from the rate — they are not rulings on the testimony.

Document requests
Send an attorney or records custodian an itemised list of what you need. They get a private link and upload without creating an account.
In practice
Illustrative scenarios from the practices this was designed around.
“The rate-per-case handling is the thing. I bill three different hourly rates depending on who retained me and what I am doing, and I used to reconcile that by hand every month.”
“I had a Rule 26 list in a spreadsheet that was always three months stale. Now it builds itself from the hours I was logging anyway.”
“Splitting one invoice between two firms used to mean two documents and a note to myself about who had paid what.”
“Voiding an invoice without destroying the record of it mattered more than I expected it to.”
Pricing
No feature tiers, because a solo expert needs the Rule 26 export just as much as a practice of six does.
Or $39/month billed annually.

Questions
No. The billing is there, but the reason to use it is the Rule 26(a)(2)(B) disclosure and the Daubert/Frye admissibility record — neither of which generic billing software can produce. Rates are also structured per case and per activity, which is how expert engagements are actually priced.
Nothing is deleted. The app becomes read-only behind a subscription prompt, and subscribing restores full access to exactly the same data. You can export everything at any point, trial or not.
Yes — that is the point of document requests. You send an itemised checklist, the recipient gets a private link, and they upload with no account and no software. Files are quarantined until you accept them, so an unreviewed upload never enters the case file.
Only when you explicitly send something: a document request, or a reply you have marked as going to the recipient. Invoice reminders are self-nudges — the system never chases the person who owes you money on your behalf.
Yes. Invite them from Team settings and they see the whole practice — cases, time, invoices. Roles control who can change billing and permissions, and the practice always keeps at least one owner.
The import wizard takes CSV, XLSX and XLS, auto-maps the columns, matches shorthand activity names like “Depo Prep”, and shows you a side-by-side comparison before anything is written. Nothing persists until you confirm the final count.
Add a case, log an hour, generate an invoice. If it does not fit how you work, export everything and walk away.
